A Note from your hosts
At the end of 2009, we finally found the apartment we had always dreamed of to create our Bed & Breakfast. After months of renovation, followed by months of decoration, we were able in 2010, to propose 1 guest room to host maximum 2 visitors who are looking for an alternative to the standard hotel stay in Paris and who are also seeking for a direct contact with Parisians who love their city.

Our aim is to provide genuine hospitality, a cosy and comfortable furnished room, a French breakfast of quality and good tips for visiting Paris.

If this type of accommodation appeals to you and if you would like to discover the charm of a typical Parisian neighbourhood, only a few steps away from the dynamic city centre, then why not try a Bed & Breakfast … and why not ours!?...
About Breakfast
Jozsef and Frédéric personally appreciate starting the day with a good meal and therefore they prepare and serve you your breakfast with great care in their dining room. According to your taste (sweet, salty, sportive or gluten-free) they will not only serve you fruit juice, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, different types of bread along with the French baguette, croissant, butter, honey, jam but also fresh fruit, cereal, dairy products and other small delights to discover.
About the Apartment & Building
The building was constructed in the beginning of the 19th century and is made out of freestone. Push the large entry door and you will step in an old paved historical courtyard that needs, yes… renovation! …and these works are underway and actually planned for the end of do not be discouraged and continue your way up to the 5th and last floor, either by climbing up the 98 steps or by taking the tiny but modern elevator.

In the apartment Jozsef and Frédéric wanted to mix modern with antique elements full of charm, therefore they have kept the fireplace and the creaky hard floor. Thanks to its many windows, the apartment is filled with bright daylight and a wonderful sense of space and energy. The corner living room gives the impression of being in a lighthouse and it offers a view of the life in the neighbourhood, the fire station, a small square and the rooftops and skyline of Paris.

About the B&B Guest room
Jozsef and Frédéric have set 12.9m2 (139 ft2) of the apartment aside for one guestroom that can host not more than 2 persons. It has a private en suite bathroom and its large window faces west and looks out on the calm courtyard, the rooftops and sky of Paris.

Although not a big room, it offers all the modern comforts in a harmonious and stylish way. It has a double bed 160x200 cm (from the Sealy brand used in the high standard hotels), two retro chairs from the fifties, a little coffee table, a flat screen TV, a stand with loudspeakers for Ipod or Iphone, a cleverly-made closet, with a rod and shelves, that can hold two big suitcases, various lights and wifi connection (your hosts can provide you with a computer).

The guest room is decorated with paintings, books and different articles that recall Paris and the old France. If you like small antiques they will be pleased to give you their favourite addresses.

Last but not least, your hosts pay close attention to the cleanliness of the room.
About the Bathroom
The guest room has its private bathroom (2.4m²/25,8ft²) decorated with tiles and a glass brick wall.

Welcome #437
About the neighbourhood
The apartment is situated in Rue Bouchardon, in the 10th arrondissement of Paris. The street on which the apartment sits is calm, with some stores, boutiques, cafes, bistrots, a covered market including a famed (French Style) burger/frites restaurant, a quaint passage ‘Passage du Marche’ and more cafes leading to the main street behind and Passage Brady beyond (one of Paris’ iron and glass covered arcades) known for its Indian restaurants.

The street is planted with trees and has a peaceful feel.

The apartment is very close to the metro Strasbourg-St. Denis, Chateau d’Eau and within a few more minutes Jacques Bonsergent.

It is close to the Grands Boulevards with it's many theatres, the Porte and Canal Saint Martin where you can enjoy a picnic on the river banks or one of the green park spaces or cafes, and the Place de la République.

15 minutes, by foot are the Gare du Nord, the trendy historic Marais district, the Centre Pompidou for your museum cultural fix and Les Halles and Châtelet, a more commercial central part of Paris where many famed Jazz venues live as well as numerous cafes, shops and more.
All around the street you will observe the daily life of an authentic and typical Parisian quarter with its small shops, bars and restaurants offering various specialities.
Frédéric is a Frenchman who is proud of his Polish and Italian origins. He likes politics, literature, art, movies and travelling. He speaks timidly English and has some knowledge of Italian.

Jozsef is a Hungarian Dutchman who has been living in Paris since 1989. He does not like politics, nor literature and prefers a different type of movies than Frédéric. However he likes travelling to the same places as his partner. He speaks fluently Dutch, English, German and can manage Italian.
This small space is simple yet very practical, functional with a shower cabin, a washbasin, a heater for towels, a WC, a douchette, large soft towels are available to all guests and a hairdryer is provided.

All of course in spotless condition.
These morning encounters are also the perfect time to exchange ideas with Jozsef and Frédéric, share experiences , become closer acquainted and of course get some advice to fully optimize your stay in Paris.

Welcome to Petite Paris B&B437 - Jozsef & Frédéric’s Bed & Breakfast - 10eme

Our note: Our hosts wish to make you and themselves feel comfortable right from the moment you reserve, therefore they will send you a question list on their behalf that helps them to prepare your arrival and they will invite you to ask them any question you may have. They know that direct guest-B&B email correspondence is not only essential to stretch out any concerns but that it also reinforces confidence and excitement - on both sides - way before your trip to Paris.
