About your Host
Lili, one of our most faithful hostess’, is an elderly lady of 78 years in fragile health and who has had a difficult life. Of Jewish origin, she lost most of her family in the 2nd World War. She raised her two sons alone.

Formerly a director of luxury fashion boutique, she now fills her days with reading and playing bridge when she is not at home. Proud house keeper but sometimes weakened by age, she wishes to continue receiving visitors because it gives her motivation, a social role, and also allows her to keep the flat in which she has lived all her life.

She speaks good English and has good notions of Spanish and Italian.

Bed & Breakfast #114/115 Arrondissement: 8 ème
Located at just 4 minutes walk from Champs Elysées, Lili offers two bedrooms in her large Haussmann apartment built in the 19th century. Typically Parisian and very cosy, this apartment has high ceilings with mouldings, a wonderful french wooden floor and very beautiful antique furniture. Ideal for a family of 4 people it has a double room and a second bedroom with twin beds room.
Lili will serve breakfast in the living room. Breakfast always contains coffee, tea, fruit juice, butter and jam, baguettes and croissants. Lili will buy baguettes and croissants before your arrival, freeze them and heat them every morning for breakfast.

Do not be surprised if Lili serves you breakfast in her beautiful dressing gown. As the bathroom is in the guest area and she does not want to disturb you while you are in and she does not get dressed before bathing.
The dwelling
Situated on the fourth floor (with lift) of a Haussmann building constructed at the end of the 19th century, the residence of your hostess reveals her passion for art objects and for home comforts.

Lili has been living here since 1955. She raised her two sons here, one of which is now a surgeon and the other one a professor in dermatology.
The bedrooms #114 and #115
The rooms and their bathrooms constitute an intimate, private unit in the right wing of the flat; Lili will only enter there in your absence to use the bathroom. The rooms are simply decorated, especially in comparison with the living room.

They are clean but carpets and rugs have been fitted and the walls have not been restored for a long time. In spite of this these rooms should impress you with their individual architecture and the high windows.

Furthermore at this accommodation you are not far away from the Champs Elysées.
Bathroom usage is only for the two rooms.

Due to the big window the room is very bright. It offers a wash basin, a new shower which was positioned in 2003 and a toilet. Products for the bathroom and a hair drier will be at your disposal.

The bathroom was built in 1998. Before this it was the room of Lili's homemaker.

Room #114
The second room measures 14 m2 opens its windows to a bright and calm backyard. It offers two single beds (90x190) with bedside lockers and chairs.

In each room you will find mineral water.

The two rooms are always offered to only one family or group, so you always are the only paying guests.
You would only choose this accommodation if you are ready to have your heart soften for this gentle old lady who has much to tell. But if you’re searching for a faultless, hotel service this accommodation would be the wrong choice for you.

The entrance of the flat is illuminated with directory lamps. The living room ceilings have impressive mouldings from the 19th century.

The whole dining room is in an 18th century English style, an authentic wonder, which is a family heirloom. The marvellous living room is decorated with sparkling silverware.

Unfortunately your hostess does not wish you to remain there apart from during breakfast and when you are speaking with her.
The large bedroom N°113 (18 m2) has over 3 m high windows overlooking the calm street below. At present, building renovations are happening in the street and there may be some noise from 8am (please ask about this to clarify). The old carpets, the secretary in the style of Louis XVI (present from Lili's mother), the marble chimney and the pier glass (which has wings of wood) give this room the charm of time gone by. It offers a double bed (140x190) with spring mounted pillows, two bedside lockers, a big wardrobe, a round table with two chairs, a secretary and a television. Furthermore an additional bed for a child can be placed at your disposal.
